Actually in reality, from sources saying is things are pretty
screwed.
There's shortage of bus drivers, not enough double decks...
Like again it's politics. That Yeo Chiew Tong went around giving
people a useless small 7 mins freq Circle Line to 'replace'
buses.
In fact if I didn't remember wrongly, that was the beginning of
the period double decks began to be replaced by single decker
buses.
Then e drivers wage is pretty low to begin with, $1300 - $1500 a
month for a 10 hr day shift.
But I gotta whack at something on my recent double deck bus
ride, some would not believe this. I remembered taking bus, the
lower deck was packed, but 30 - 40 seats was empty on the upper
deck.
All it takes is for one person to investigate upstairs, and once
he's found seats, tell the people downstairs to move up. Even the
driver could take a look with his camera, unless he's a mute FT.
That is civic-minded behaviour which has nothing to do with the
companies or politicians.
